OEKO-TEX CERTIFICATION

The OKEO-TEX certification is an internationally recognised standard which certifies that a textile product or a component of a product has been tested and verified to be free of substances harmful to human health. This certification is widely used in the textile industry to guarantee that the products are safe, healthy, and eco-friendly.
The OEKO-TEX label on a product is a sign of trust for consumers who look for textile products that are safe for health and the environment. The achievement of this certification underlines the commitment of the company to quality and social responsibility in textile production.

GOTS 6.0 CERTIFICATION

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is an internationally recognised standard for textiles made with organic fibres. The GOTS certification imposes rigid criteria to ensure that the organic textile products respect high standards in terms of sustainable production and respect for the environment.
The GOTS 6.0 certification extends to production, packaging, labelling, export, import and distribution of the textile products obtained from natural fibres produced and certified as organic in agreement with Reg. EC 834/2007 (or other standard such as NOP) and has been processed and produced in agreement with GOTS 6.0.
The certification of an organic textile product is based on the assessment and verification of various aspects.

GRS CERTIFICATION

The GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certification is a globally recognised standard for the traceability and the verification of recycled textile products. Its purpose is to promote social, environmental and economic responsibility in the production of recycled fabrics.
The GRS certification is particularly significant within the scope of sustainable fashion and textile production which aims at reducing the environmental impact through the responsible use of resources and the recycling of materials. When you try to purchase recycled textile products, the presence of the GRS label can be a reliable indicator of product sustainability.

RWS CERTIFICATION

The RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) certification is an international standard which concentrates on traceability and animal wellbeing in the wool industry. This certification is designed to guarantee that the production of wool complies with ethical and environmental standards, covering different phases of the wool supply chain.
This certification is often requested by consumers who wish to responsibly purchase textile products in wool, guaranteeing that the production process respects both animals and the environment.

TEXTILE AND HEALTH ASSOCIATION CERTIFICATION

The certification proposed by the Textile and Health Association and Unionfiliere implements the fundamental principles of the REACH regulation of the European Union which aims at improving the protection of human health and the environment from the management of chemical substances, including those used in the textile industry, an essential competitive advantage for Italian companies: it differentiates Italian companies from international competitors; it certifies the traceability and guarantees the safety of the products rebuilding the production chain of the product considered and the processes to which it has been submitted; it guarantees as much the production process as the safety of the product obtained; standards and methods of analysis evolve according to new knowledge from the national Health System.

CLEAR TO WEAR

Clear to Wear is a standard to identify an article which protects consumer health. Developed by the INDITEX Group, in accordance with the most stringent legislation on product health and safety, it governs the “substances that are legally limited” and which, if present in the textile products in quantities that exceed certain limits, could be dangerous for human health, such as:
• FORMALDEHYDE
• AROMATIC AMINES
• PHENOLES (PCP and TeCP)
• CADMIUM, LEAD, MERCURY, CHROME, CHROME (VI) and NICKEL
• PHTHALATES
• POLYBROMINATED FLAME RETARDANTS
• PESTICIDES
• SHORT-CHAIN CHLORINATED PARAFFINS
• PERFLUOROOCTANE SULFONATES
• DIMETHYL FUMARATE
• ORGANOSTANNIC COMPOUNDS
• ALLERGENIC COLOURANTS
Clear to Wear imposes limits on composition, pH and colour fastness of dyes and sets the limits on the use of two parameters not provided for by current legislation, namely organochlorine compounds and isocyanates.
